HOMEMADE APPLE PIE
There’s no place like home, except Grandma’s. Especially when there’s apple pie involved. What is more satisfying than this crunchy, cinnamony-cozy and joy-giving delicious apple pie right here in the middle of fall?

WHAT YOU’LL NEED
– 1 pie dough (store bought is fine – just make sure you get organic!)
– 1 tablespoon ground nuts (we like hazelnuts)
– 1 teaspoon cinnamon
– 6 apples (we looove boskoop, they are the best this time of year: fresh, crisp, juicy and so flavorful!)
– 250 ml cream
– 1 egg
– 1 tablespoon cornstarch
– 4 tablespoons of sugar
– powdered sugar and some extra cream to make freshly whipped cream for serving
1 – Place your pie dough on parchment paper onto a baking tray and pinch it with your fork a couple of times.
2 – Mix a tablespoon of ground nuts and a teaspoon of cinnamon and spread evenly onto your pie dough.
3 – Layer your pie dough with about 6 peeled and not too thinly sliced apples
4 – In a blender mix up the cream, egg, cornstarch and the sugar and cover your apples.
5 – Preheat your oven to 200°C and bake your pie for about 30 minutens until lightly golden.Let cool for a bit and then sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve with freshly whipped cream.
