Moving Elopement in Ireland

Come with us on a journey to a moving ceremony in Ireland!

Endless widths characterized by moss-covered hills as far as the eye can see. Some mountain tops hide behind dense clouds, only few rays of sunlight find their way through.

Picture-book Ireland – mysterious, mystic and untouched. Not quite the sunniest and driest place on earth but for sure one of the most beautiful. An exceptional place for an exceptional couple and their wedding…

„During their 10 month engagement, they decided it was important to them to just have their closest family members present for their wedding, to not allow the pressure of others expectations to determine what was right for them, and to have a calm, easy going day without any stress.“ photographer Paula O’Hara explained to us.

After some research the two found a gorgeous house among Irish nature that offered enough space for the whole family. „Neither of them had ever been to Ireland but both of their families have Irish history so they decided it would be a fun family vacation and a great place to have their wedding.“ the event planner Alise Taggart  revealed.

Despite the bad weather forecast the whole family gathered on one of the hills to attend this emotional wedding, which was extremely touching, moving and personal. „Mary’s sister in law played hymns on the fiddle, while Mary’s brother officiated the ceremony. Mary and Eric wrote their own vows which was incredibly moving and intimate. Their goal was a traditional Christian ceremony in a not so traditional location, I think they achieved a perfect balance!“

We totally agree with photographer Paula O’Hara and can´t wait to share her captivating pictures with you. At the end you can see the magical video of the cinematographer Story of Eve.
