Luxurious Winter Wedding

To all future winter brides out there, here comes the source of inspiration for you: Lucie and Jan´s luxurious winter wedding in the snowy mountains of the Czech Republic.

Although we said goodbye to the cold season long ago, wedding photographer Katka Končal and her wonderful pictures are a great foretaste of the 2019/2020 winter season.

She knows exactly how everything started: „Lucie and Jan decided to get married in February. they didn’t have the exact wedding venue on their minds. However, they both knew they would prefer all-in-one venue and wanted the wedding to be chilled and luxurious at the same time.“

A contradiction in itself? Not for the experienced wedding planners of Eventista. It was not long before the right location was found.„When they first saw the Grandhotel Tatra they have been struck by how stunning the hotel and scenery is.“

The unique ambience made it easy for the wedding planners to come up with a concept that surpassed the vague ideas of Lucie and Jan and fit seamlessly into the space of the modern 4 star hotel:„They had a clear vision of the wedding day design – a clean neutral palette with dove grey, blush pink and gold accents.“

Said and done. And so these graceful colors combined with elegant black and white ran like a timeless thread through the day. From bridesmaid dresses and sweeping floral arrangements to seductive sweet tables full of small and great delicacies from Prague City Cake.

But also short-term plan changes were not a problem for the well-rehearsed team:„Lucie and Jan’s ceremony should have taken place at the hotel terrace with breathtaking view over the Beskydy mountains blanketed in a fresh layer of snow. However, on the morning of the wedding the forecast was showing windy weather with a little rain. So the ceremony took place at the hotel lobby instead and the couple exchanged vows amidst a backdrop of the oversized arrangements of pampas grass and lush blooms by Ponk Rentals.“

All in all, this wedding was just a firework of emotions and moments of happiness that Lucie and Jan had never dared to dream of. For us, it is the epitome of perfection that is reflected not least in the fantastic shots of Katka Končal.
