Bridal shoot at the golden hour in Dresden
High above the Elbe, nestled in the gently rolling hills of Dresden, lies Schloss Eckberg. The magnificent hotel and castle, which sits majestically on the Elbe heights, served as the backdrop for this bridal inspiration. The historic architecture, surrounded by park-like grounds, lent the shoot a fairytale atmosphere. Every detail seemed to be coordinated – the light, the colors, the textures.
It was a spring day in May when the golden hour was at its most beautiful – that fleeting window of time when the light bathes everything in a soft, warm magic. It was precisely this light that became the stage for a wedding photography session that combined romance, grace and aesthetics in a unique interplay.
The project was initiated as part of the mentoring program with renowned photographer Annett Zollfeldt. Her flair for aesthetics and her many years of experience provided the creative framework. Together, they developed a vision of a stylish, dreamy setting that focused on elegance and naturalness. The result is this beautiful inspiration photographed by Sophie Gestrich.
The floral design was created by Florale Manufaktur Schröter. With sensitivity and perfect craftsmanship, a floral concept was created that picked up on the naturalness of the surroundings. Delicate blossoms in pastel shades nestled into the backdrop and emphasized the romantic character of the photographs.
The wedding cake from Mary Cakes was a particular highlight. Its composition seemed almost too delicate to cut: soft colors, textured surfaces and detailed elements made the cake a real work of art that blended harmoniously into the overall picture.
The choice of wedding dresses also contributed significantly to the visual language. Two models from HERA COUTURE, provided by Blush and Bleu, lent the shoot a touch of international haute couture. The HEPBURN model impressed with flowing fabrics, off-the-shoulder sleeves and a romantic, playful back with beaded details. VIENNA, on the other hand, featured a clear silhouette, delicate lace and a sensual mermaid cut – complemented by the airy Vienna sleeves, which gave the look a slight boho touch.
The styling was rounded off with sparkling jewelry from Blush and Bleu Juwelier. The selected engagement ring from Rauschmayer reflected elegant restraint.
The shoot was a wonderful reminder of the effect light can have on imagery and mood. The golden hour once again revealed itself as a powerful design element that deepens emotions, emphasizes details and creates a special atmosphere.
