We had the extraordinary pleasure of experiencing Rosewood Schloss Fuschl near Salzburg, Austria. The name Rosewood already promises a lot; the hotels stand for exquisite taste in furnishings and exclusive service.

Our expectations were correspondingly high and were actually exceeded. Schloss Fuschl has been extensively renovated and shines in new splendor. You drive down the driveway in the middle of nature to Lake Fuschl, which is a beautiful turquoise color in summer.

The former hunting lodge from the 15th century, once the location for the Sissi films, welcomes guests with a perfectly manicured garden, built in a rural style and with initial modesty. The Rosewood glow shines as soon as you enter reception and guests are warmly welcomed with a welcome drink.

The entire stay is characterized by constant discovery of the beautiful complex with restaurants, bars and terraces with this magnificent lake view. All the staff are very friendly, so you can only feel at home. At any time of day, we could taste culinary delights in a restaurant, bar or even right by the lake.

We recommend the spa area with an indoor and outdoor pool, which is surrounded by nature and also overlooks the lake. Whether massage, fitness studio or pool, the SPA area is beautiful and quiet. After two days we were as relaxed as after a week’s vacation.

The hotel rooms have all been renovated, the bathrooms are modern and elegantly furnished with everything your heart desires. High-quality care products and a modern lighting concept with floor lighting at night are just the icing on the cake. You can’t call the minibar a minibar, as it is by no means mini. It is in a uniquely stylish cabinet and we found not only coffee, lots of snacks and classic drinks, but also champagne and even tequila.

I can’t list all the things that delighted us, such as the little written greeting that we found in our room in the evenings, with a small gift and a story to go with it. These were, for example, the world-famous Salzburg Mozartkugeln.

Rosewood Schloss Fuschl is not only the ideal place to find peace and quiet and enjoy your honeymoon. The beautiful city of Salzburg with its sights is not far away. Lakes, forests and mountains invite you to go hiking and skiing is also possible in Salzburger Land.

Schloss Fuschl is also a perfect venue for weddings. A wedding ceremony right by the lake or on a lakeside terrace, a celebration with a view of the lake – everything is possible and magical. The mountains shine in the background of the lake – it couldn’t be more romantic. Whether in the historic ballroom or in the modern restaurant with lakeside terrace, there is something for every taste.

We came home from Schloss Fuschl relaxed and enchanted after two days and can recommend it to anyone who wants to celebrate or honeymoon exclusively.
