French design in Grand Hotel
The wedding design of this “French Seaside” inspiration in white and blue was lovingly created with attention to detail by wedding planner Anja Habel of ANJA HABEL unique events and wedding designer Irka Fürle of Magnolias on Silk and pictorially captured by Anja Schneemann Photography.
The Grand Hotel Heiligendamm on the Baltic Sea, with its historic ensemble of buildings and classically elegant interior, offers the perfect setting for a picturesque dream wedding by the sea and the implementation of the playful, maritime shooting. The charm of past times is combined here with modern elements, elegance with casual joie de vivre. The colors reflect the surroundings and are even found in the interior design of luxury hotels.
The wedding couple started the day at the Grand Hotel with styling. The first bridal outfit by SOULMAID Bridal Couture Dresden for the civil wedding was wide cut, with enchanting lace and flared tulle skirt. For the free wedding ceremony in the park of the Grand Hotel, the bride changed again and now wore a romantic, strapless designer dress by Victor & Rolf with sewn on flowers and long veil. The groom was dressed by Laue Festmoden with a light blue suit with vest and bow tie, and later with plastron.
The wedding ceremony in the park was beautifully decorated by florist Sweet Kvitka with a wedding arch, loosely tucked with delicate flowers in white and light blue. The flowers merged into a semi-circular circle of flowers around the couple and down the aisle at the guests’ chairs. The day was celebrated with a champagne pyramid and then it was off to the outdoor set table for the wedding cake and dinner.
The wedding table in white and blue is the centerpiece of this inspiration. The pattern of exquisite table linen and tableware is inspired by faience of the late 18th century. A time when the Grand Hotel was also built. The tableware with its relief decorations is inspired by motifs of French ceramics, which is known worldwide for its elegance, quality and timeless beauty. The candle holders made of matt brushed stainless steel, designed by a design studio in Copenhagen, stylishly set the candles in scene. And the Moon cutlery in matt silver and the faceted glasses from Villeroy & Boch from the Boston series complemented the overall picture perfectly.
The specially designed table top collection pays homage to the breathtaking beauty of the French countryside and savoir vivre. The exquisite collection from the Magnolias on Silk design team is called French Countryside.
The playful linen tablecloths and linen napkins with the beautiful blue floral pattern were combined with white tableware. They create a carefree and romantic atmosphere, as if from the blooming gardens and fields of French châteaux. The unique French Blue, an elegant and timeless hue, is a common thread throughout the design.
The wedding cakes and macarons of Berries and Brides design cakes were created perfectly and beautifully, alternating all-white and also with blue filigree floral motifs.
In the afternoon, the couple enjoyed the couple shoot with photographer Anja Schneemann on the Baltic Sea beach within walking distance. Afterwards, the bride changed for the dinner and party. She was now wearing an original jumpsuit with lace top and small delicate train.
The creative team also designed a second table at the Grand Hotel for brunch the next day.
