French wedding inspiration in purple

The Château de Tilly in Boissey-le-Châtel, Normandy, provided the perfect backdrop for a wedding shoot that combined history and modernity. The majestic property, a carefully renovated 16th century castle, impressed with its timeless elegance and architecture that exuded both charm and character. This castle, with its extensive gardens and sumptuous rooms, was chosen by wedding planner Sarah Parbhu of Agence Melissa Wilpotte and photographers Pierre and Julia for this inspiration in shades of pink, purple and blue.

The bride chose two very special dresses from the Marianne Farenc Atelier that perfectly reflected her personality. Her first dress, which she wore during the ceremony, was a masterpiece of delicate, handmade fabric, with filigree lace trim and a sheer back that added a modern touch to the classic design. The second dress she chose for the evening was made of light chiffon, with a flowing skirt that emphasized her romance and elegance. Both dresses harmonized perfectly with the romantic atmosphere of the castle.

The groom was elegant and understated in his attire. He wore an inner vest and a rose-colored bow tie with his light blue suit.

The decor of the day reflected the desire for an elegant yet floral ambience. Delicate shades of purple, blue and pale pink were used throughout the day, from the table centerpieces to the floral arrangements by Elven Garden Flower. The table decorations were simple but sophisticated, with gold details given a fresh accent by modern rose-colored glasses and napkins. The combination of classic style and modern accents created an atmosphere of harmony and elegance.

A unique moment took place before the exchange of vows, when the bride and groom shared intimate words with each other in a private ceremony. This intimate moment before the big event gave the wedding a deeper meaning. The ceremony itself was enriched by a special custom: The celebrant performed a ritual with a wax seal, symbolically sealing the couple’s love. This detail gave the wedding a historical depth and emphasized the connection between tradition and modern elements.

For the highlight of the evening, the cutting of the wedding cake, the bride opted for a dramatic change of look. In a more festive, modern dress, she entered the room to cut the cake, marking the transition from the solemn ceremony to a more cheerful, relaxed part of the celebration.
