Lavender wedding in Provence
Provence, with its picturesque charm and enchanting atmosphere, has long been a dream destination for weddings. This region, associated with the famous French Touch, provides the ideal setting for a wedding steeped in elegance and sophistication.
The location of our inspiration was a Provençal country estate – Le Domaine Rabiega. To create an authentic Provençal atmosphere, it was important for the shoot team of wedding planner Anaïs from Wed’Love and photographer Tom Picture to include a traditional estate in the heart of this beautiful region. Domaine Rabiega, nestled among the hillside villages of the Var hinterland, has been producing wine since the 16th century. Today it is not only a winery, but also a charming hotel with bistro. The old stones, the green gardens and the picturesque landscape are the perfect backdrop for a wedding. This exclusive venue hosts only a few weddings a year.
The bride wore a strapless lace wedding dress by 16 Juillet, and the groom wore a classic black suit with black bow tie by Maison Geraci. His floral accessory along the suit collar was especially summery and unique. Instead of an ordinary boutonnière, the floral ribbon went completely along the collar, adorning it like a stylish floral sash.
For the decorations, the team opted for a mix of elegance and naturalness. The French Touch features a subtle balance between sophistication and simplicity. For the floral arrangements and the delicate, elegant bridal bouquet, florist Emily Alarcon chose neutral tones such as white, cream and gray, combined with soft pastel accents of blue, lavender and pink, with roses, peonies and wildflowers, as well as a few green leaves for a touch of freshness and lightness. Used natural materials such as wood, stone and linen created a warm, authentic atmosphere.
For a “French style” wedding, it’s all about the details: Here, the famous color-coordinated macarons from Maison Ladurée, champagne directly from the renowned champagne house Jarry Heritage and a cocktail bar with champagne with violet liqueur, limoncello and blue pastis perfectly matched the wedding motto “Lavender and Provence”. Goodies from Une pincée de Provence were stylishly photographed with lavender sachets and lavender soap. The white wedding cake by Les Delices de Gladys, which was not to be missed, was decorated with pastel real flowers and served with macarons.
A French wedding in Provence, is an opportunity to celebrate French elegance in an enchanting setting. From the Provençal country estate to the subtle décor, from the refined French cuisine to the lively music, every detail contributes to creating a unique experience for the couple and the wedding party.
