Mediterranean wedding in the Vendée

On a beautiful day in May, Amelie and Nicolas celebrated their wedding in the Vendée. An elegant summer wedding in France that combined Mediterranean inspiration, Italian joie de vivre and French sophistication. The early summer light, the architecture of the location and the lovingly designed details created an atmosphere full of warmth and depth.

Amelie and Nicolas had met during their studies. Although Amelie was not actively looking for a relationship at the time, a deep connection developed between them. Nicolas won her heart quietly and naturally. They have been inseparable ever since. Their close bond was also evident in their very romantic proposal in Rome, on Valentine’s Day in the gardens of the Villa Borghese. This moment became the emotional basis for the design of their wedding day.

They chose the Domaine de l’Etabliere in the Vendée as their wedding location. The estate is known for its Italian-inspired architecture and is one of the most exclusive wedding venues in the region. They deliberately chose this location as it reflected the Italian soul of their love story. The wedding was planned and accompanied by Elo Events, who translated the couple’s vision into a harmonious and coherent overall concept.

The wedding day began with preparations in the morning directly on the estate. Between historic facades and manicured gardens, a calm, expectant atmosphere was created. Amelie wore an elegant yet modern wedding dress by Adriana Alier from Atelier des noces. The design featured a slightly asymmetrical bodice, discreet pockets in the skirt and detachable sleeves. A dress that combines individuality, comfort and timeless elegance.

The free wedding ceremony took place in the outdoor area of the Domaine. Surrounded by Mediterranean wedding decorations in white and blue with yellow accents, the setting was reminiscent of Italy and the Mediterranean. The floristry by Lys’toire d’une fleur perfectly reflected this mood. Olive branches, lemons, Venetian masks and hints of blue and white ceramics were reminiscent of Italian majolica and created an elegant, summery atmosphere. The ceremony was personal, emotional and characterized by quiet gestures and intense gazes.

Afterwards, the guests enjoyed Italian pastries and coffee at the reception. Conversations in different languages filled the garden, as many guests had traveled from Canada, Italy, the USA, Switzerland and Germany. The international crowd of guests reflected the couple’s traveling lifestyle and gave the wedding a cosmopolitan and special dynamic.

After the bouquet toss, the day moved on to an extended cocktail reception, which also served as an appetizer. Speeches full of emotion accompanied this moment and emphasized the close connection between the couple and their guests. The Mediterranean color scheme was consistent throughout the day, combining lightness with stylish elegance.

Amelie and Nicolas solemnly entered the hall for dinner. Further speeches followed before the emotional dance with the parents began. Amelie and Nicolas then danced together, a quiet, intimate moment full of closeness and trust. The evening continued with a champagne fountain and the wedding cake, before fireworks lit up the sky above the wedding venue.

This special day was accompanied by Yohann Faupel, who captured the atmosphere, the colors and the emotions of the wedding in authentic and timeless pictures. A Mediterranean wedding in France that showed how stylish, personal and emotional destination weddings in the Vendée can be.
