Sophisticated Elopement At Lake Como

Picturesquely, Villa Carlotta rests in the lap of the idyllic Lombardy, predestined for a Hollywood-style elopement on Lake Como. Its chambers spread the fragrance of meaningful history, its enchanted gardens tell of love and pure romance.

As if one opens the window to the past through its gates, the property presents itself as an inhabited residence. As if the lady of the house still hovered over the ancient stone steps and enjoyed the beautiful surrounding nature…

„We wanted to showcase the rich art history and and natural beauty of the villa, plunging mountainsides, candy-colored hilltop villages, glorious sunshine and sparkling waterfront of the area.“ photographer Rebecca Arthurs, who shares these fantastic pictures with us today, told us.

With “we”, the photo artist refers to the successful collaboration with the event stylists Sara and Cris of Princess Wedding, with whom she created these historic wedding impressions. The starting point and source of inspiration was the ancient villa itself, as Sara and Cris told us.

„Between the mountains of the Alps Villa Carlotta has a unique atmosphere: surrounded by magnificent gardens with Mediterranean and exotic plants, and adorned with statues leading down to the Como Lake. There is not a more amazing venue of this side of the Lake.“

For even more floral highlights the florists of Flower Art lived up to their name and created ornate flower arrangements and a wild-looking bridal bouquet.

Rebecca Arthurs captured this project´s incredible result and received highest credit from her colleagues: „Her delicate and romantic eye was able to capture the changing landscape of the Como Lake and the essence of the warmth, the aesthetic and the romance of this part of the world.“
