Wedding celebration with a view of the Aegean Sea
Christine and Nick from Philadelphia tied the knot on the Greek island of Paros. The two had met while studying at Pennsylvania State University and had been inseparable ever since. They moved to Philadelphia together and got engaged exactly seven years after their first date – a proposal that took place over dinner and laid the foundation for a very special wedding.
The ceremony took place at The Secret View – an elegant venue with breathtaking views over the Aegean Sea. The perfect place for a romantic, Greek backdrop for photographer Vasilis Kouroupis, who captured the wedding beautifully for eternity. The event was organized by wedding planner Call Me Madame, who worked with the couple to create a natural, timeless atmosphere. The color palette consisted of soft sage greens and crisp whites, inspired by the island’s olive trees and the natural materials of the Cyclades.
The ceremony itself was held in front of a natural stone wall – minimalist, authentic and beautiful. The florists from The Flower Workshop deliberately did not use classic vases for the decorations. Instead, they used clay jugs filled with white flowers and herbs such as rosemary and thyme. Brass candle holders with white stick candles completed the arrangement and added a touch of romance.
Christine wore a strapless lace dress by Watters, which had been hand-embroidered with pearls by her mother – a very personal detail that added a special touch to the day. Nick opted for a black suit, classic and elegant. The bridesmaids wore olive green dresses, while the groomsmen appeared in light linen suits, which perfectly matched the natural style of the ceremony.
Dinner was served on the terrace of the property – in the open air, at sunset. In traditional Greek style, the food was shared, creating a sense of community. Later, when the simple, white wedding cake was cut by Tserki, the music began – and the night turned into an exuberant dance party. The highlight was all the guests dancing together to “Sweet Caroline” – a joyful end to an unforgettable day.
