Winter bride in Canada

Known for the best winter sports and après-ski amenities and host of the 2010 Winter Olympics, Whistler is a winter wonderland of lush forests and glacial lakes. A perfect location for a winter wedding shoot with a delicate bride in the snow.

Handmade in Vancouver, BC, the wedding dress by Little Pink Dress featured a bustier bodice with corset boning, flowing tulle and large bows at both shoulders. This ethereal, dreamy style is the specialty of dressmaker Hannah Tikkanen, who is strongly inspired by elements of nature. There was also a fur scarf, an accessory for every winter wedding.

Although this shoot was quite minimalist in nature, the team led by photographer Eunice Kwok of Chuunice Photography used some beautiful jewelry from Jeweliette Jewellery and a simple bouquet of soft pastels and dried flowers from Balconi Floral Design Studio. The team wanted to highlight the majestic mountains and trees and, above all, show off the flowing blue dress.

Inspired by the majestic and romantic Whistler, the shoot is aimed at winter brides who want to dare to have their ceremony in the snow. The light pale blue dress fits perfectly with the snowy look. To keep the bride warm, the cream-colored faux fur shawl was perfect for a classic and elegant look. The simple, luxurious pieces of jewelry unobtrusively complemented the dress. The soft curls styled by Paige Griffith added to the romantic flair, a low-maintenance look for a day in the snow.
