Vienna, the city of my dreams

The enchanting wedding shoot in the heart of Vienna impressively showcased the breathtaking beauty and historical wealth of the city. The theme of the shoot was “Vienna, the city of my dreams” and aimed to show future wedding couples how magical a wedding in Vienna can be.

The location was the magnificent Albertina Museum, which rises majestically between the Vienna State Opera and the Hofburg. The luxurious colors and interior of the Albertina’s state rooms and the terrace with a view of the Hofburg provided an impressive backdrop. The choice of venue was no coincidence: the Albertina is known for its collection “From Monet to Picasso”. The team around event planner Xuelin Kossegg and photographer Liliia Chuba wanted to highlight the unique charm of Vienna as a wedding destination and at the same time showcase the quality of their bespoke luxury weddings.

The famous paintings “The Water Lily Pond” by Claude Monet and “Venice, the Pink Cloud” by Paul Signac served as design inspiration. Thus the hydrangea, considered the “pointillist” of the botanical world, became the main decorative flower. The delicate petals of the hydrangea in soft shades of pink and blue ran like a red thread through the entire wedding design and lent the ceremony and reception tables a touch of impressionism.

The choice of details, such as the colors of the jewelry and the custom-made “water lily” ring boxes, also followed the impressionist style. Another highlight was the integration of blue and white porcelain (Qing Hua Ci), an oriental element that lent the decor an additional dimension and symbolized the fusion of Eastern and Western cultures.

Many Viennese elements were integrated into the shoot to emphasize the beauty and charm of the city: The palace, the live harp accompaniment during the ceremony, historical jewelry and the Austrian costume, the Dirndl, a traditional dress that gave the wedding an authentic Austrian touch.

The wedding shoot at the Albertina Museum impressively demonstrated why Vienna is a romantic destination for weddings. It combined the city’s rich cultural history and artistic splendor with a touch of luxury and individuality. For couples planning a destination wedding in Vienna, this shoot offered an inspiring vision that showcased the beauty and unique character of the city.
