Dream wedding on Lake Geneva

Claire and Chris, a couple from San Francisco with a special connection to Switzerland, decided to celebrate their love in an unforgettable ceremony on the shores of Lake Geneva. Their wedding was a stunning event that combined the cultural roots of Chris’ Swiss heritage with the elegance of a modern American wedding. The couple’s story began on the other side of the Atlantic, and it was no surprise that their love spanned the globe. In November 2021, Chris romantically proposed to Claire in London – in picturesque Hyde Park, surrounded by family and friends, some of whom had traveled all the way from the US. This romantic gesture was just the beginning of their journey together, which would eventually take them to Switzerland.

The wedding took place at the elegant Beau Rivage Palace in Lausanne, one of the most prestigious locations on Lake Geneva. With the support of Souvenir Weddings & Events, the couple chose a simple yet elegant design that emphasized the natural beauty of the surroundings. Floral decorations by florists Pont de Chailly Fleurs adorned the ceremony, dinner tables and Claire’s bridal bouquet with white orchids and delicate pastel shades of white, coral, blush and yellow, reminiscent of the palace gardens.

The day began with a special moment when Claire and Chris met for the first time in their wedding outfits on the magnificent staircase of the Beau Rivage Palace. This “first look” was emotional and full of intimacy, perfectly captured by photographer Ludovic Grau-Mingot, who captured the couple’s joy and excitement in every image. The ceremony itself, which took place outdoors, was incredibly romantic.
