The scent of lavender at Château de la Gaude

Wedding shoot in the heart of Provence: elegance and nature

In the picturesque region of Provence, surrounded by fragrant lavender fields and majestic castles, a wedding shoot took place that combined both elegance and the beauty of nature in perfect harmony. The choice of location could not have been more fitting: the imposing Château de la Gaude in Aix-en-Provence and the idyllic lavender fields of Valensole provided a backdrop that stands the test of time and reflects the true essence of Provence.

The scenery: Château de la Gaude and the lavender fields of Valensole

The Château de la Gaude, with its imposing architecture and formal French gardens, was the first location for this wedding shoot. The noble, classical structures of the château provided the ideal backdrop for the bride, who was seen in a stunning wedding gown by Sonia B Marseille, a true masterpiece of French fashion. The dress, with a sophisticated cut and a striking, massive bow detail, created a perfect symbiosis of timeless elegance and the chateau’s sophisticated atmosphere. Every detail of the dress harmonized with the noble aura of the Château de la Gaude, which in itself tells a story of luxury and sophistication.

After this first, elegant stage of photography, the route continued to the lavender fields of Valensole. Here, in the soft light of Provence, the bride literally merged with the landscape. Her second dress, simple and airy, was by Elisa Ness and blended seamlessly into the waves of purple lavender fields. The natural charm of the flowers and the vastness of the field formed the perfect contrast to the elegant simplicity of the dress and provided a breathtaking backdrop for the romantic shots taken by photographer Loris Bianchi.

The details: a tribute to Provence

Every element of this shoot was infused with the beauty and character of the region. The wedding stationery, the table decorations and the wedding cake were all designed with a focus on the typical Provençal motifs. Delicate olive tones reflecting the Mediterranean landscape, floral patterns and a detailed tablecloth blended perfectly into the overall picture. The roses, which appeared discreetly in the decoration, lent the setting a noble, French touch. The choice of the names “Rose & Olivier” for the bride and groom of the shoot underlined the combination of nature and elegance that characterizes Provence.

A concept of luxury and lightness

The wedding shoot in Provence, staged as a workshop by photographer Cristophe Serrano and wedding planner Rachel Sword, was an experience that combined the balance between luxury and nature. The majestic Château de la Gaude with its sublime atmosphere and the vibrant lavender fields, known for their indescribable colors and beguiling scent, created a backdrop that reflected the magic of the region in every image. The play of light and color, the interplay of elegant fashion and the wild beauty of nature, made these photos not only timeless, but also poetic and profound.

With this shoot, Provence has once again proven its role as one of the most romantic and picturesque regions in the world, which is always a source of inspiration and beauty for both couples and photographers.
