Inspiration at the Château de Santeny

Amidst the tranquil gardens of the Château de Santeny, a historic 19th century jewel south of Paris, a stylish wedding shoot took place that impressively combined elegance, sophistication and intimacy. The backdrop provided photographer Natalie Baker with the perfect setting for an elopement-inspired staging that focused on special moments with the guests – far away from the hustle and bustle, close to emotions.

The bride appeared at the ceremony in a spectacular gown by Reem Acra, whose voluminous, embroidered skirt fell in gentle cascades. The high neckline and open back created an exciting contrast, while the veil by Galia Lahav completed the elegant look. For the reception, she chose a figure-hugging style by Berta, made from fine lace with a structured corset and open back again – a look that was both stylish and easy to move in on the dance floor. Both dress options featured sophisticated sleeves and emphasized the bride’s modern, confident elegance.

The decorations reflected the noble character of the venue. A lush floral arch installation by Les Herbes Folles adorned the ceremony, flanked by low, artfully arranged floral compositions that drew the eye to the beauty of the natural surroundings without overpowering them. The color nuances used – mauve, dusky pink, accents of peach and lilac – blended harmoniously into the green ambience of the garden.

The table design deliberately avoided high arrangements in order to facilitate communication between the guests. Instead, elegant, delicate floral arrangements, some with fruits, rich fabrics and selected tapestries created a stylish overall look. The selection of desserts by Erzulie Cakes was also remarkable: a lovingly designed ensemble of artful cakes and small treats offered delicate visual and taste highlights.

The concept of this shoot emphasized the art of restraint – every detail was well thought out without appearing overloaded. The focus was on the interplay between architecture, nature and design.
