Timeless Romance at Château Martinay
In the heart of Provence, the Château Martinay served as the backdrop for a wedding photo shoot brimming with timeless romance. Built in the 18th century and meticulously restored, the château combined historic charm with a stylish ambiance, providing the perfect setting for a concept that blended classic elements with subtle contemporary touches.
Photographer Astrid Neumann captured the special atmosphere of the editorial in her photos. Sparkling Moments handled the planning, while Still Miracle was responsible for design and creative direction. A subtle color palette of white, cream, and the natural green of the flowers served as a unifying element throughout the entire concept, allowing the many thoughtful details to shine.
Classic bridal wear with a special touch
The bridal look also blended beautifully with the timeless atmosphere of Château Martinay. The wedding dress by Luce Sposa captivated with its clean silhouette and rich satin, which gave the dress an almost regal air.
From the front, the design looked classic and understated, while the large bow on the back added a playful touch. Long gloves and a veil emphasized the look’s unique appeal and gave the classic silhouette a contemporary twist.
The exceptionally simple bridal bouquet provided a deliberate contrast. Made entirely of white calla lilies, it had an almost sculptural appearance and added a calm, stylish touch to the opulent arrangement.
Lush floral arrangements against a historic backdrop
Botanica’s floral design played a central role in the overall concept. Generous arrangements of white and cream-colored flowers, complemented by natural greenery, lent the photo shoot a romantic, lush feel.
The lavishly decorated arch of grapes was particularly impressive. It initially served as a backdrop for the staged ceremony and was later used for the couple’s portraits. Against the historic façade of Château Martinay, the floral arrangements made a striking impression and became a defining element of the scene.
The understated color palette ensured that the opulent floral arrangements appeared harmonious and timeless despite their abundance.
Playful details and elegant stationery
The table setting also reflected the romantic atmosphere of the photo shoot. Classic elements were paired with lovingly selected details and subtle golden accents.
The whimsical stationery, printed on high-quality paper, in particular, added a personal and elegant touch to the setting. It complemented the lush floral arrangements and the historic surroundings without overshadowing them.
The result was a harmonious blend of romantic opulence, classical forms, and a serene color palette.
Timeless Romance in Provence
The editorial shoot at Château Martinay thrived on the combination of historic architecture, lush floral arrangements, and whimsical details. White, cream, and natural greens created a serene backdrop against which the individual design elements could shine.
The regal elegance of the satin dress, the opulent floral arrangements, the exquisite stationery, and the exceptionally minimalist calla lily bridal bouquet all came together to convey an aesthetic that neither followed a fleeting trend nor copied the past.
A timeless interpretation of French Romanticism, set against the unique atmosphere of Provence.
