Elegant destination wedding on Mykonos
It was a wedding that combined Mediterranean lightness and classic elegance in a very special way. Lauren and Michael from New Jersey fulfilled their dream of a destination wedding on Mykonos. They celebrated in a private villa with sweeping views over the glittering Aegean Sea.

Getting ready with a view of the sea
The wedding day began quietly and full of anticipation. Both families lived together in the villa, which was situated high above the sea. In the morning, the bride, her bridesmaids and close family members gathered for the preparations. There was laughter, hugs and repeated touching pauses while outside the setup team prepared the ceremony area and reception area. Both areas offered an impressive panoramic view over the Aegean Sea.
Lauren’s wedding dress from Castle Couture emphasized the timeless elegance of the day. The look was classic and sophisticated and blended harmoniously into the subtle color scheme of the wedding.
Ceremony in white, champagne and gold
The design followed a sophisticated palette of white, champagne, beige and subtle gold accents. The center aisle of the ceremony was designed as a mirrored corridor and was lined with elegant floral arrangements to the left and right. Studio 7 combined white hydrangeas, roses and delicate small blooms with a touch of greenery. The result was a soft, classic aesthetic with a delicate structure.
Lauren’s bridal bouquet of lush white peonies created a romantic focal point. The bridesmaids carried bouquets of white roses and hydrangeas, which harmoniously complemented the floral concept.
The ceremony itself was intimate and very personal. A close family member married the couple, which added a special depth to the moment. As Lauren and Michael experienced their first moments as a married couple, the sun slowly began to set over the island, bathing the scene in warm, golden light.
Sunset cocktails and dinner under fairy lights
Guests were welcomed with a signature cocktail with Greek flavors and delicious finger food variations that drew on the local cuisine. Close friends also surprised those arriving with a small shot of Lauren and Michael’s favorite drink, creating an exuberant, cheerful atmosphere.
During the sunset cocktail hour, guests enjoyed the view over the sea and the relaxed atmosphere of the early evening. As dusk fell, the newlyweds entered the reception area to applause.
The long tables were decorated with white floral arrangements that continued the design of the ceremony. Gold-edged place settings and candles of varying heights with gold detailing created a warm, inviting light. A soft light blue scarf was draped over each chair as a subtle homage to the sea and sky of Mykonos.
A canopy of fairy lights and hanging flowers stretched over the dance floor. Chandeliers around the pool created a luxurious, almost floating atmosphere. A special highlight was Lauren and Michael’s individual logo, which was integrated in the wedding colors on the dance floor.
An evening full of taste and staging
The dinner was prepared by a private chef and presented the couple’s favorite dishes in fresh, elegant form. After the ceremonial cutting of the wedding cake, the evening turned into an exuberant celebration.
An extraordinary part of the program was a performance with dancers who moved through the night with flaming fans and lit up the sky over Mykonos. This spectacular moment marked the climax of a stylish, emotional wedding by the sea that had been thought through down to the last detail.
