Wedding on Lake Garda on a sailing yacht
Between gentle waves, historic alleyways and Mediterranean light, a wedding shoot was created on Lake Garda that combined summery elegance with Italian lightness. The editorial “Sailing into Love” showed a modern interpretation of a destination wedding in Italy and combined the romance of sailing, stylish stationery and a delicate color palette of rosé, yellow and apple green.
The focus was on the historic sailing yacht Siora Veronica, which created a particularly intimate atmosphere with its large sails and warm wood. As the ship glided slowly across Lake Garda, images full of tranquillity, movement and a dolce vita feeling were created. The backdrop constantly changed between water, mountains and the small harbor views of Malcesine, giving the entire concept a special dynamic.
The shoot was planned and designed by Astrid Scharly Bespoke weddings & design. The concept combined summery lightness with elegant details and deliberately focused on a harmonious combination of water, indulgence and romantic wedding design. Instead of opulent staging, a fine, almost cinematic atmosphere was created that ran through the entire editorial.
Luuniq ‘s floristry played a central role in this. Delicate arrangements in rosé, yellow and fresh apple green rose playfully above the patterned table linen and gave the setting a lively, Mediterranean feel. The combination of flowers, fruit, champagne and high-quality stationery in particular created a consistent design concept that continued from dinner to the picnic on the sailing yacht.
The handmade stationery by Astrid Scharly also picked up on the colors and the summery mood. Fine materials, elegant typefaces and small details such as the custom-made lampshade in apple green made the design particularly harmonious and detailed.
The bridal fashion by Milla Nova, available at At Moda Sposa, perfectly complemented the modern elegance of the shoot. The first look featured an avant-garde A-line dress with voluminous layers of tulle, floral lace details and sparkling crystals. The veil, casually tied as a bandana, was particularly modern and gave the look a fashionable yet relaxed touch.
The second look was a glamorous break in style. An artfully crafted lace top was combined with an elegant satin skirt to create a modern bridal fashion aesthetic somewhere between couture and a Mediterranean summer night.
The details of the styled picnic on the yacht also underlined the relaxed elegance of the concept. Fresh fruit, cheese and champagne reflected the color scheme of the shoot and made the setting particularly authentic. The combination of water, warm light and soft pastel shades lent the editorial an almost timeless mood.
The shoot was photographed by Lukas & Sophia, who captured the lightness and movement of the day in a natural, light-flooded style. The editorial was also accompanied by Alma Wedding Film, whose videography emotionally captured the atmosphere of Lake Garda and the special moments on the water.
