A wedding, both beginning and ending
A day at the beach, from morning dew to sunset, lets two future brides realize that a wedding is both beginning and endding at the same time.
The beginning of a new life with their husbands. But also the end of their utterly freedom and friendship as they used to know it.
From little girls to young women, from young women to brides. These two shared everything so far together, the imaginary treasure chest of memories is filled to the top.
Their opposites have welded them together, their commonalities made them even stronger. One last time it pulls them back to the beach, on which every grain of sand seems to represent one of their special experiences…
The team of event designer Ebb & Flow couldn´t wish for a more dramatic scenery. As if nature felt the pain of those beautiful women, saying goodbye to their long-celebrated friendship, it created a spectacular setting for them.
„For this editorial, we envisioned what two best friends would do together the eve of their wedding.“ photographer Tanja Kibogo told us and added: „They wanted to cherish their last day with one another, as they knew things would be forever changed once they became married.“
While the two women formed a unity for many years, each of them still has their own personality. To that, the team responded in a wonderful way. „In our vision, they wanted portraits commemorating their friendship, while still reflecting their individual strength, beauty and uniqueness. One bride-to-be is a little more romantic while the other is a little more wild and free. Both are modern, minimal, and organic in aesthetic.“
Stunning floral arrangements by Gather Design Company and stylish stationery by The Wells Makery rounded out the fantastic concept of Ebb and Flow harmoniously.
We love the idea of showcasing the special bond between two best friends and are totally excited to show you the wonderful pictures shot by Tanja Kibogo now.
