A dream day in Pylos
Last September, the unforgettable wedding of Themistoklis and Anniek took place in Pylos, a picturesque town on the Peloponnese in Greece. The couple, who live in Rotterdam in the Netherlands, met on a beautiful New Year’s Eve in their home town. This magical start to their relationship eventually led them to an equally magical wedding day in Greece.
The choice of location could not have been more idyllic. Pylos, known for its breathtaking coastal scenery and historical sites, provided the perfect backdrop for this special celebration. The wedding reception took place at Vrysomylos Estate, in a secluded location surrounded by majestic olive trees, which were beautifully illuminated in the evening hours. This natural beauty, combined with the carefully chosen decorations, created an atmosphere that was both romantic and festive.
Anniek’s wedding dress was a real eye-catcher. Purchased from the Look of Love bridal boutique in Bergen op Zoom in the Netherlands, the dress was from the Dutch brand Modeca. It was an A-line dress that was a harmonious blend of tulle and lace. The top of the dress was designed with a deep V-neckline and illusion cut-outs at the sides. The fine straps led to an open back, which gave the dress added elegance. The ensemble was rounded off with a veil from Pronovias, which matched the dress perfectly and made Anniek look even more radiant. Photographer Jason Kenanoglou accompanied the couple from the preparations until late in the evening.
The wedding day itself was a feast for all the senses. Family and friends of the couple came together to celebrate this special moment under the warm Greek sun. There was plenty of laughter, dancing and delicious Greek cuisine. Guests were treated to exquisite food and drinks while enjoying the relaxed yet festive atmosphere under the olive trees.
The decorations were simple yet effective, designed by wedding planners Golden Leaf Events. Candles and fairy lights bathed the venue in a soft, warm light, creating a magical atmosphere throughout the evening. Guests were seated at long wooden tables without tablecloths, lavishly decorated with fresh local flowers, which emphasized the beauty of the natural surroundings.
The day ended as it had begun – full of joy and love. Themistoklis and Anniek not only created memories for themselves, but also for their guests that will last a lifetime. Their wedding in Pylos was a perfect start to their life together.
