Dance of Love
For a long time Paula O’Hara dreamt of shooting with a gracile ballet dancer.
Inspired by star photographer Annie Leibovitz and her expressive black and white portraits of Mikhail Baryshnikov and Darci Kistler she made her shooting dream come true.
At the Irish Gosford Castle she found the perfect mystic atmosphere to stage these dramatic pictures with interaction of lights and movement.
It was unfamiliar for Paula to shoot among such a dusky scenery so she had to come out of her comfort zone and enter foreign terrain.
Alise Taggart arranged some nice details, got amazing floral decoration and found the perfect ballet dresses in black and white which reminded of certain scenes in the movie „The Black Swan”.
With these poetic pictures Paula O’Hara made the world stop turning for a moment and makes us dive into a dreamy world of creativity and artistic photography.
And don’t miss the fascinating film from Story of Eve at the end of the article…

DANCE OF LOVE
“Our love is pastured, such a mournful sound
Tonight I’m gonna bury that horse in the ground
So I like to keep my issues drawn
But it’s always darkest before the dawn
And I am done with my graceless heart
So tonight I’m gonna cut it out and then restart
‘Cause I like to keep my issues drawn
It’s always darkest before the dawn
And it’s hard to dance with a devil on your back
And given half the chance would I take any of it back
It’s a fine romance but it’s left me so undone
It’s always darkest before the dawn
Shake it out, shake it out, shake it out, shake it out,
And it’s hard to dance with a devil on your back
So shake him off.”
