Fairytale love story in the Parc de Sceaux

Daria and Tom’s Parc de Sceaux extravaganza serves as the perfect inspiration for the princess bride (and prince groom, of course). Bordering the outskirts of Paris, the château in Sceaux is the answer to every royal couple’s dreams.

Redamancy Photo and Film worked closely with Laura Andrea, a Paris-based planner, to capture a fairytale concept with ‘whimsy,’ ‘romance,’ and ‘storybook’ as their guiding words. Every detail, from Daria’s Galatée Couture ceremony gown to the Calida Cera candles placed throughout the regal garden-themed tablescape, highlighted the grandness of Château de Sceaux.

From Shaye und Aaron von Redamancy Photo and Film: “Handwritten by Cat designed a stunning invitation suite for the bride and groom models, along with painted ribbons. Redamancy Photo and Film chose to style the suite with cookies from Imagine Cakes Paris, florals from Glow by Song, a pair of custom earrings by Brenda Lee, and some special pieces we found while wandering along the Seine by Notre Dame the day before. Pull in elements from the environment, culture, and nature to highlight all of the reasons you love this place you’ve chosen to get married in!

For Daria’s first look, Laura Julliard executed minimalistic makeup and created a curled half updo topped with a custom designed crown by Brenda Lee. Tom’s long locks were styled in a messy, swept back fashion. He looked so classically handsome in his tailored black suit. Daria wore a simple gown from Galatée Couture’se newest collection. The dress was styled with a pair of blue Bella Belle to match the pastel blue, grey, and pink color scheme. They went perfectly with her outfit and kept her feet comfortable all day.

The morning began with breathtaking imagery captured in front of the château and through the labyrinth-esque gardens. Though the wintery weather was creeping in, the lovebirds huddled together, which made for the sweetest moments.The couple’s ceremony was set with Vaisselle rentals and captivating floral arrangements, compliments of Mimi at Glow by Song. The ceremony spot was chosen because of the geometric levels leading down to the fountain. There was a magnificence about the location that the team didn’t want to take away from, so the decor was kept to a minimum. Though the rain had already begun to fall, Tom and Daria couldn’t stop giggling – they were only focused on each other.

For their reception, the rain continued. Though it soaked through the Vaisselle Vintage table linens and left little drops on the silverware, it only added to the special essence of their winter wedding. Laura Andrea styled a unique reception layout that encapsulated French history and the passionate nature of Europe. Daria and Tom also posed with a gorgeous, delicate cake by Imagine Cakes Paris, complete with a matching tray of cookies.

Daria’s reception dress was a slimmer silhouette, another new piece from Galatée Couture’s collection. The dress was made with intricate lace and floral embellishments, featuring a tight skirt, long sleeves, and an open back. Laura Julliard styled a second look for Daria, complete with a low bun and a stronger lip. Brenda Lee’s reception headpiece was a more understated pearl halo that perfectly complemented Daria’s evening gown.

Château weddings come in many shapes and sizes. This particular inspiration is meant to evoke sweet, romantic love stories. The colors are gentle, allowing the couple’s kind personalities to shine through.
