Minimalist wedding in Prague
This joyful wedding takes us right into the heart of the picture perfect city of Prague, very beautifully captured by photographer Eva Neuman.
Ivana and Alfredo are a beautiful couple from Lima, Peru. Ivana has Czech roots, as her mother was Czech. They moved from Lima to Prague and now planned to stay there. Both are enchanted by the historical atmosphere and uniqueness of the magical heart of Europe.
The leitmotif of the whole wedding was to show all guests Prague and its beauty in a stylish but minimalistic way.
This idea was implemented in Naporad Art‘s stationery in a modern, minimalist way, including a map to show guests that the venue is in the heart of Prague. They wanted to build excitement for Prague beforehand.
They chose the Four Seasons as the venue because of the breathtaking view of the entire historic panorama of the castle, Charles Bridge and Lesser town from the terrace.
The main idea of Ivy Garden florists was to preserve the unique view from the terrace and create a minimalistic, fresh and romantic arrangement. They also wanted to give a summer feel, since it was winter in Peru at this time of year. Keeping the view was one of the most important points so that guests could admire the panoramic view, as many of them came to Prague for the first time. The guests came from all over the world.
The couple wanted to show their love for Prague, for them Prague is the most beautiful city in Europe.
Ivana wanted a modern, elegant wedding dress to match her style. The designer Nava Bride is from Romania, Bucharest, and Ivana liked the originality of the designs, the high quality of the materials and the personal and friendly service throughout the process. The wedding suit came from Blazek, the traditional Czech brand of custom-made suits. Alfredo appreciated their knowledge and experience in making excellent suits.
For the wedding reception, the couple, together with their wedding planner Kateřina Blažková of Svatebni Alchymie, thought of many personal details. The specialty of the banquet was a signature drink based on the couple’s history, namely their first date in Lima. It was like a part of their story. They brought the special recipe from Lima. One of the ingredients was Pisco, a traditional spirit of Peru. Since they are both chocolate lovers, they chose a minimalist wedding cake from Café Millème with layers of dark chocolate, blueberries and raspberries.
Music was an important element to set the mood of the day. Guitarist Kristyna Stratilova played soft, melodious songs during the ceremony and during lunch. The bride walked down the aisle to “Till there was you” by The Beatles, one of the couple’s favorite bands. During the ceremony, guests danced to Latin music. Ivana and Alfredo wanted their guests to take home a little piece of this special day, and gave away candles with personalized labels and a scent they chose together.
During the wedding celebration there was rain, sunshine and everything in between. It was a great day full of emotions, great friends and an unforgettable atmosphere. Photography: Eva Neuman Photographer
