A deserted sandy beach, idyllic dunes, a wide horizon kissing the sea in the distance or a magical and very intimate elopement – there is so much that could be hidden behind the gentle hills of sand.

Warm wind blows over the bright dunes, making existing ones disappear and forming new ones as it pleases. It is not only the sand that makes him his playmate, flowers, grasses and clothes cannot resist him.

Becca Wong Events: Morgan from Blooms by Morgan and I teamed up to create a modern shoot inspired by the sandy dunes at Dillon Beach. We were accompanied by the great photo poet Irina Turkova.

We wanted to incorporate a clean design driven by natural beach textures. Soft neutrals and organic elements bring together a dreamy shoot for the modern bride.

Our tablescape was designed with an elopement in mind. Using bud vases, driftwood, and dried flowers we found on the beach for our place settings, we wanted to show a different style that was unrefined yet unique. Taking advantage of the tall grasses by the dunes, we placed our tablescape high up on the beach overlooking the coast. To continue the theme of a distinctive and modern bride while embracing the concept of less is more, we decided to use clear acrylic stands for our two ceremony arrangements.

Blooms by Morgan told: “Experimenting away from traditional lush greenery and typical bridal ingredients, I added in dried elements that almost looked like what you would find nestled into the beach dunes or washed up on shore. It was fun to create something neutral, but still playful and exciting!”

We created two looks for our stunning bride. First, our bride embraced a modern and minimal concept wearing an elegant and simple ivory jumpsuit by Theia Couture. Next, our bride wore a textured organza gown with a champagne underlay by Roland Mouret. This light and airy pink gown with a flowing backside created an ethereal snapshot of our bride next to the warm toned sunset over the ocean.

And now we invite you to adore and enjoy with us the pictures artfully captured on film by Irina Turkova .
