Moody Elopement

What combines spectacular rocks with an enchanted barn and a haunted garden? They all recently served as setting for a moody elopement scenery for a workshop held by the unique picture artist Erich McVey.

High above the roaring waves of the sea a young bride and groom loose themselves in precious moments of togetherness. Suddenly the power of the water seems small and weak, compared to the power of love that unites them.

Behind the inconspicuous, an ivy-covered hayloft awaits a lovingly set table, where the undisturbed togetherness finds its continuation at fine delicacies. Only to escape strengthened into the blossoming nature …

“This gorgeous styled elopement was set amongst the California coast and was full of so much movement, texture, and strength; much like the Spanish culture which Ginny Au drew her inspirations from.“ workshop participant and photographer Lisa Catherine raves.

Already the first look at her fantastic pictures lets us recognize the unmistakable signature of Ginny Au. She told us: “Our “Pattern” shoot was inspired by the color, life and energy of Granada, Spain. We chose mauves and burnt gold as a color palette shown in the table design.“

But not only the table setting tells a harmonious story. Every detail, from the floral arrangements by Soil & Stem to the bridal styling, was absolutely well-matched.

„The lace of Emily Riggs gown was such a compliment to the theme as it created a wonderful textural element with its pattern. We paired the gown with bold dangling earrings and a veil blowing in the wind. It was a tribute to the mood and energy found in Spanish dance.“

We are deeply impressed by the delicate and feathery elopement inspirations created for the participants of this exclusive Eric McVey workshop.

Lisa Catherine was one of them and can not wait to share her wonderful pictures with us now!
