Persian ceremony under trees
Shouka and Tomas’ wedding was a magical fusion of cultures, love and personal style. Their journey together began in the virtual world of Clubhouse, a platform that brings people from all corners of the world together. A digital connection developed into a deep bond, which ultimately led to their big day.
The backdrop for their celebration was just as meaningful as the occasion itself. The couple chose to transform their home in Oyster Bay, NY, into a stunning wedding venue. Under the skillful direction of their wedding planners from Interiors DBK and a dedicated team, their home was transformed into a celebration of elegance and romance. From hanging crystal chandeliers to the lush ivy that adorned the green wall installation, every aspect was carefully thought out and implemented.
Photographer Manda Weaver started in the morning for getting ready and captured all the details for eternity. Shouka’s dress was by Galia Lahav, purchased at Bridal Reflection on 5th Ave in NYC.
Shouka and Tomas chose the beautiful backyard of their house for the ceremony. As spiritual people with a deep connection to their cultural roots, it was Shouka’s wish to incorporate a traditional Persian Sofreh Aghd ceremony. This elaborate arrangement of symbols and objects represents the wishes and hopes for their marriage and was invaluable to the couple. Among other things, it contained bread, fruit, wild rue, honey, a book of poems, mixed nuts, coins and herbs. The setting of the ceremony under trees decorated with crystal chandeliers was wonderful.
The celebrations were accompanied by a cocktail hour by the pool and a festive dinner. Every detail of the event has been carefully selected to create an atmosphere of sophistication and hospitality. From the tent with floral installations, the sparkling crystal chandeliers to the fragrant floral arrangements on the tables, every aspect was designed to provide guests with an unforgettable experience.
Of particular note are the couple’s favorite details, which emphasized the beauty and sophistication of their wedding. The majestic crystal chandeliers, lush green hedge wall and stunning floral and candle decorations, as well as the neon and acrylic signs all helped to create an atmosphere of elegance and romance. The installation of fairy lights gave the wedding a fairytale feel and provided a magical scenery for their celebrations.
For Shouka and Tomas, their wedding was not just a day of celebration, but also an expression of their love for each other and their connection to their culture and tradition. By carefully planning and designing their wedding venue, they managed to create a celebration that was not only beautiful to look at, but also reflected the essence of their relationship and shared values. It was a day full of joy, love and unforgettable memories that will stay in their hearts forever.
