Romantic Paris Elopement

This romantic Paris elopement captured in both digital and film photography was a part of Britt Jones Co.’s Parisian workshop and it is the perfect inspiration for any couples dreaming of an elegant elopement in the City of Light.

This beautiful couple eloped in Paris, overlooking the Eiffel Tower. What a dream wedding destination! Following their ceremony on the balcony, Emy and Jordan hopped into a stunning white vintage Citroen to explore more Paris icons for their portraits. There’s truly nothing like exploring Paris in love – and being able to photograph it is even better!! Afterwards, they both changed into their chic reception attire for a more relaxed evening on the boat floating around the Seine River. This entire day just felt so Parisian, luxurious, and elegant for this beautiful couple.

To help create the elegant feel for the day, the bride carried an all white bouquet of Veronique Lorre with gorgeous white roses, ranunculus, and sweet pea that cascaded down her gown in the portraits. It was stunning! Emy wore a gorgeous Marchesa wedding gown with beading moving from the bodice into the skirt. It was paired with matching sleeves to add more interest to the strapless gown. The sleek fit gave the bride a beautiful silhouette in her portraits.

Jordan, the groom, wore a stylish white tuxedo jacket with black lapels and details. Paired with a simple white boutonniere, he and Emy were absolutely stunning along the Paris skyline throughout their elopement.

After their elopement ceremony was over, Emy and Jordan were transported to some of Paris’ most famed locations including Avenue de Camoens, Seine River, and Pont Alexandre III for portraits. The car ride in a vintage white Citroen was the perfect touch to bring another bit of luxury to their elopement. Smaller events mean that couples can choose more elaborate, elegant, and luxurious details for their celebration.

Together, they cozied up along the river with the Eiffel Tower in the background – reminding them exactly where they were! When planning a destination wedding, be sure to build in lots of time for portraits at the landmarks or important parts of the location of the event.

For photographer Ruth Terrero it was important to lean into the Parisian vibe in all of her amazing images – from the locations we chose to the outfits, flowers.

Their second look for the night, while more playful, was still incredibly chic! If you’re going to elope in Paris, you certainly need gorgeous outfits like these for the occasion. Emy’s reception dress was a short champagne piece with more beading and feather pieces for texture – again from Marchesa. She kept her updo and fun white floral earrings from her wedding gown for the celebration in the evening.  Jordan changed into a black suit jacket for a second look.

The newlyweds ended the night on the Seine River, during a private floating reception! Emy and Jordan were able to snuggle up and enjoy the sights of Paris around them as their night came to an end. With a simple floral arrangement on the back of the boat, they were able to tie in the simple but elegant decor from their ceremony. What a perfect way to end their night together – enjoying the sights and sounds of the city of love and light on a romantic boat ride! It was a wonderful reminder that a wedding day is about choosing what makes the couple happiest… a floating reception on a boat included.
