Bridal editorial in black

Theatre of Real Life ‘s extraordinary wedding editorial took place in the breathtaking Reichenschwand Castle, a former moated castle in the picturesque Middle Franconian district of Nürnberger Land. In the 19th century, the castle was given its neo-Gothic façade and striking white color, which provided the inspiration for the creative shoot. In this magnificent setting, tradition and modernity merged in an impressive way.

The concept for this editorial was clear: black, green and white. These colors not only created a visual contrast, but also underlined the timeless elegance and modernity of the shoot. The focus was on minimalism, freshness and clear tones, which were reinforced by the impressive architecture of the castle.

The wedding dresses, both created by Munich-based designer Marina Grigoryeva, were a bold but elegant departure from traditional bridal fashion. The short, black and white dress with a Dior silhouette exuded a playful festivity, while the long, black dress embodied elegance and splendor. This unusual choice made a strong statement and challenged the traditional norms of bridal fashion. Both dresses combined strength and grace in a way that was unparalleled in the wedding world.

The décor for this editorial was as sophisticated as it was understated. The floral arrangements by TG Flowerart were designed with special attention to detail, with green accents such as the amaranthus, whose hanging flowers brought a fresh structure to the arrangements, playing a central role. These green elements provided a natural counterpoint to the black and white wedding dresses.

The decorative details, such as the pattern on the napkins and the opulent table setting, also deserved special attention. An “old money” style gold ring, adorned with a black tourmaline and diamonds, was made especially for this project and added another layer of elegance and exclusivity to the concept. The stationery by Carolin Vogelmann, which was inspired by a French toile de jouy pattern, combined modern fonts with botanical motifs in olive green. The fine print on high-quality textured paper and transparent paper, combined with a velvet ribbon in black, added a luxurious touch to the overall design.

The wedding editorial at Schloss Reichenschwand was a perfect symbiosis of traditional elegance and modern, unusual style. It showed how black and green can be combined in a surprisingly elegant way, creating a timeless and fresh atmosphere.
