Wedding in white and ivory in Dresden
In the light-flooded staircase of the Landhaus Dresden, “IVORY VEIL” was a wedding concept that was entirely dedicated to quiet elegance. Planned and conceived by Frame The Journey, a visual language was developed that relied on reduction and thus unfolded its full effect. The shoot was photographed by Sophie Gestrich, while Manoora captured the moving images.
With its monumental room height, curved wrought-iron railings and clear white surfaces, the historic architecture of the Landhaus Dresden created a stage of particular tranquillity. Gentle daylight fell through large arched windows and allowed materials, textures and shapes to come to the fore. The classic symmetry of the room lent the entire setting a timeless, almost museum-like atmosphere.
The concept followed a clear design line. White and ivory determined the entire staging, supplemented by fine silver details and deliberately used black accents derived from the architecture. Color was deliberately avoided. Instead, tension was created through contrasts between shiny glass and soft fabrics, between floral lightness and architectural precision.
The wedding dress was at the center of the staging. The Bambina model by Millanova, seen at Blush & Bleu, was a sculptural statement made of fine organza layers. The off-the-shoulder bodice flowed into a voluminous skirt, whose numerous flounces created a three-dimensional effect. Despite its presence, the dress appeared light and blended harmoniously into the light-colored architecture. It became the connecting element between space, light and floristry.
The floral design by Wolf Concepts picked up on the minimalist aesthetic and developed it further as the day progressed. In the afternoon, open roses in soft white and ivory tones dominated. Loosely arranged in glass vases, they created a calm, romantic atmosphere. The scenery changed with the transition into the evening. The soft shapes gave way to clear, ikebana-inspired compositions of white anthuriums. The arrangements now appeared more graphic, more structured and deliberately set architectural accents.
The table setting also followed this quiet dramaturgy. During the day, pillar candles and floral lightness created a warm, inviting atmosphere. In the evening, slender pillar candles in glass cylinders took over the play of light. Reflections on glass and silver lent the setting a modern, elegant depth. With its romantic design, the stationery from Bonjourpaper blended seamlessly into the bright overall concept.
The wedding cake from MY Cakes & Sweets picked up on the minimalist design language and complemented the setting with a calm, elegant presence. The accessories were also deliberately chosen. The shoes and the engagement ring set subtle accents without disrupting the clarity of the overall concept.
The editorial did not focus on opulent abundance, but on stillness, structure and light. “IVORY VEIL” showed how understated luxury can look when every detail is precisely chosen and given space to unfold.
