Couple shoot in Portugal in blue and yellow
For this wedding inspiration by photographer Julien Bonjour and wedding designer Imagine Events, Portugal was chosen as the scenery, a country known for its cultural richness and unique character. Porto and the northern region of Portugal in particular were the focus of this special event.
Porto, with its majestic views of the vineyards along the Douro River, its cobbled streets adorned with the characteristic blue azulejos and the iconic Rabelo boats passing under the famous Dom Luís Bridge, provided a romantic and picturesque backdrop for this wedding shoot. The bridge itself, an icon of Portugal, was designed by M. Eiffel and lent the place a touch of Parisian elegance.
Two stunning gowns by Ines di Santo from Amar & Peonias were chosen for the bride, each matching a specific part of the ceremony. The first dress embodied elegance and style and was perfect for the engagement in the picturesque city of Porto. Romantic floral gloves add a unique touch to the look. The second dress, however, was more opulent and regal, fitting for the ceremony and reception in the stunning vineyards of Viseu, where the lavish beauty of nature took center stage.
The decoration was carefully selected from a color palette that captured the essence of Portugal. Blue represented the water and the sky, yellow stood for the warmth of the sun and coral brought vibrancy to the design. The flowers, carefully arranged by Atelier Bom dia, captured the beauty of a lush garden and became a central element of the design.
The table decorations on the estate’s terrace offered stunning views of the surrounding vineyards, and the cake by Bake Modern Cake was a work of art in itself, with painted and natural flowers and a design that emphasized the opulence of the whole event.
This shoot brought together Portugal’s cultural richness, architectural elegance and natural beauty for couples dreaming of an intimate yet sumptuous celebration. The couple strolled through the charming streets of Porto, visited the famous bridge and finally exchanged their vows amidst the lush vineyards of Quinta do Outeiro, a carefully restored 17th century estate in the heart of the Douro Valley, which provided an idyllic setting for this special occasion.
