Elfin Love On Iceland

Dangerous looking sand dunes are the backdrop of an elfin wedding on Iceland. The sun seems not invited which is beneficial for the mood. Instead of her a soft breeze is present or is it just the aura of an invisible individual?

Who we see is the elf and her man. Bride and groom of this elopement. Both appear breakable and small in front of the imposing scenery. However, their love is stronger than ever.

Her dress blends with the colors of nature, only the black band around her waist reminds her where she belongs. Carries proudly a bridal bouquet of branches and blossoms setting a pattern for his boutonniere and their wedding cake…

„We wanted to create an inspirational real couple shoot with stone design details. The first thing we got in mind were the elves of Iceland because Iceland is known as the “Island of elves and trolls”.“ the photographers Hilal & Moses explain.

An idea that required event stylist Calallure´s sure instincts but also implied the right location. „The perfect place for a shooting like this would be in a quarry which combined the stone and organic design perfectly with Nordic colors.“

Loving details like a marbled cake by Süße Poesie or faded stationery by Bonjour Paper as well as fresh berries and blowing fabrics complemented the picture of an elfin wedding stylishly. After all the bride was in the center of attention: gracefully, authentic, elfish.

„Like the elves in Iceland our bride had a dreamy hairstyle and natural make up. The fact that we had a real couple was so good. Jana danced around Helmut like an elf during the shoot. Everyone was quiet and watched her dance. It was magical.“

There is nothing more to be said. Just let the magic created by Hilal & Moses sink in…
