THE GREAT GATSBY – A GOLDEN WEDDING DREAM
Raise the curtain for the golden 20´s! An era where love dared to cost and seemed to be more remunerative than today.
Today is where we are now – at the Cumberlandscher gallery in Hannover. Headlights light up the wide stairs and illuminate the two protagonists of this shimmering Great Gatsby inspiration: a bride and her groom.
Together with photographer Anja Schneemann their vows resound in these ancient halls past pieces of Art Deco and colorful marble columns watching true lave strolling by for centuries.
We see elegant groomsmen in grey cutaways by LO & GO with colorful vests, red and yellow ties and pocket squares as luminous highlights. Carrying toppers and canes always with them and wearing classy patent-leather shoes for a typical 20´s dandy-look. Oh how they enjoy themselves at the gin- and cigar-bar while the bride admires the sweet table wearing a dreamlike dress by Jenny Packham with a long pearl necklace and gold jewelry.
Sweet art deco buildings in gold and green string together like precious valuables. Mirroring the glance of the bride´s golden floral crowns holding her elegant up do including water wave and bun together. She seems like a gleam of finest tulle which larded with silver and golden threads lets her noble paleness shine.
Decadently she holds the opulent bouquet in her hands curling her bright red lips to a valuable “I do!”
She sneaks a peek into the old oriel which hides the round wedding table next to its floor-to-ceiling windows: all in white peppered with turquoise and green details which find their pinnacle within the potent center piece by Milles Fleurs. This is the dramatic elegance of the 20´s we love…
