Greek romance with lush blooms

With a peaceful, magical sunrise, the day makes an effort to become the most beautiful in the life of a striking bride. We head to a small modern town in Northern Greece and let the charm of this city enchant us. Event planner Georgia Apostolidou of Pompon Story tells an inspiring story with her editorial that captivates us. From Georgia Apostolidou of Pompon Story: “Slipping from an urban reality to the ambience of the past led us to create this inspirational styled shoot. A modern romance based on pure elegance with a feminine twist that is set in an emblematic building of the 19th century in the center of a small modern city in Northern Greece.

An inspirational styled shooting that was the perfect contrast between a typical downtown everyday routine and the charm of a spring daydream escape to the past through an intimate wedding celebration.

Based on this landmark’s architecture, we were inspired by the colors of the external façade as well its internal decoration details with the rare wallpapers and the one-of-a kind furniture inside. What we wished, was to emphasize their authentic beauty combining them in a harmonious way. At the same time, we focused on both contemporary femine and the modern bride, giving prominence to the luxury that derives from pure elegance and refined details.

Photographer Theodores Chliapas captured all this story of inspiration in a stunning way.

The starting point is the boudoir session, while the morning sun invades the room where the bride indulges a few minutes of intimacy and relaxation before her preparation. She is dressed in a silky babydoll and a lace robe embroidered with 3d flowers made by Made Bride.

The bridal gown belongs to the collection ‘Charisma’ made by the talented woman Dimitra Antonea behind the brand of Made Bride. Ethereal, long sleeved and embroidered with pearls and flowers on the top, embellished with a modern finishing of a black ribbon in the waist. Ethereal and romantic yet so modern combined with an impressive handmade headpiece by Katerina Savrani along with her handcrafted high heeled bridal shoes.

For the wedding reception, we envisioned an indoor blossoming garden. Using a round table with glass surface and a tree trunk as a base, we got inspired to create a blossoming tree with a modern approach. Flower arrangements with delicate seasonal flowers such as anemones, buttercups, almond brunches, lysianthus, astrantia, roses and folliage created by Amaryllis semi covered the surface of the table from the one side while from the other we used the transparency of the glass to place florals below the glass surface. The result was an enchanting garden where the tableware and candles emerged through the flowers.

Based on soft pinks and sage green with a light touch of black detail, Marianna Konitopoulou from Bright White Design created a refined and romantic stationery suite based on handmade papers, sketch design and calligraphy script, adopting at the same time modern elements as the sketch design of bride’s abstract figure with an impressive blooming finishing, a modern logo and clear lines to the basic core of the suite. Vellum envelope, white ink foliage, embellished wax seals and black ribbon to the envelope were some of the delicate elements of the design, each one carefully selected and ultimately being part of the whole.

The cake stand was composed by an outstanding old vitrine coated with a velvet floral wallpaper in the back. Marthas Sweet Philosophy created a variety of modern minimalist cakes and sweets perfecty matched with the imposing backdrop and the flowers arrangements.
