Honeymoon bliss in Crete

We are only too happy to let the picturesque landscape of Crete transport us into a summery mood.

A brilliant white breaks in the azure blue of the sky and only finds a harmonious coexistence in the gentle green of individual olive trees, which stretch their crowns gracefully into the air. Here in Elounda, love seems to be at home. Air and love are here the important ingredients of unforgettable honeymoon.

The magic of white and blue fits so wonderfully to true love. Fresh, modern and with an incomparable lightness, wedding planner Jeanet of Fazou Events staged this honeymoon editorial that captivates us with its grace and aesthetics.

Days like these simply have to be artfully captured for eternity – as the photographer from Hanna Monika Photography has done, showing the enamored togetherness of the aparted couple on the Greek island in a magnificent world of images.

From Fazou Events: “We love everything about Crete, the greek sun, the amazing food and warm mediterranean atmosphere. It is a big island with many hidden treasures, and amongst those hidden treasures is Elounda, a small village in the north of the island. Many say Elounda has views equivalent to the stunning Santorini views and if you ask us, Emotion Villa Elounda definitely proves them right.

The modern and elegant villa is built on a cliff and has a breathtaking view of the Aegean Sea. From the first time I visited the villa I knew it was the perfect location not only for weddings, but also for honeymoons, which made me want to share this gem with our couples and inspire them.

The contemporary and elegant design of the villa was inspired by its surroundings. It combines natural elements such as stone and wood with clean minimalistic design that allows for a calm and serene atmosphere, ideal for an elegant luxurious wedding and to relax after those busy wedding days.

Natural earthy colours are all that are needed to give this location a dreamy ambiance. The green from the trees and the striking blue sky and sea are an ever-loved combination; add the white villa to the mix and you have the perfect recipe for an ethereal yet luxurious feeling. And since it is not a complete vacation without a hammock and a pop of colour, we had to include our all-time favourite summer drink: an Aperol Spritz.

The images were impeccably captured by Hanna Monika Photography and showed the beauty of young love which we hope all couples will get to have and keep throughout their marriage. The location and blissful atmosphere put us all in a honeymoon bubble.
