Imperial wedding inspiration from Austria

An imperial palace, opulent floral arrangements in a vibrant color palette and details inspired by the splendor of the imperial era. Surrounded by breathtaking architecture, a wedding at Schloss Eckartsau is always known for an unforgettable experience and unique pictures.

Inspired by Zita, the last Empress of Austria, the photographer team Lukas and Sophia have created a wedding inspiration for the modern bride who has a soft spot for historical architecture and imperial details. One of the main reasons why couples choose Austria as a destination for their wedding is the breathtaking castles that tell stories of exclusive celebrations. The historic dressing room, where Princess Zita once got ready for the day, is now the perfect place for glamorous getting-ready pictures of the bride.

Where the imperial era once came to an end, numerous love stories now begin. With its impressive entrance hall and historic rooms, Eckartsau Castle is immediately enchanting and gives you an idea of the opulent festivities that were once celebrated. The bright columns and statues give the lively color palette of the editorial space to work and the table setting with the cake as the centerpiece blends with the architecture. Another jewel of the castle is the historic dressing room – the perfect place for bridal portraits with its ornate stucco in gold and white.

The model wore dresses from the new wedding dress collection by Alexandra Bridal, which impress with their unusual fabrics and special cuts. A sweeping gown with an embroidered top, a modern halterneck dress with a simple, lightweight fabric and a playful dress with 3D lace reminiscent of a spring meadow – each dress was made especially for this shoot.

Details with a nostalgic flair are combined with lively elements. The floral accompaniment came from Naturnahe Floristik, who gently and unobtrusively decorated the staircase and the dinner table. Hand-painted porcelain, lead crystal glasses and stationery in gold and white met a color palette in pastel shades. The centerpiece of the table arrangement was the artfully decorated multi-tiered cake with stucco elements by Isabell Kliaras from Fine Cake Art, complemented by a signature drink setting in matching colors. Delicate signature cookies, hand-calligraphed place cards and elegant letterpress menu cards complete the look. In artistic flatlays arranged by Lukas & Sophia, the simple elegance of Laskou Psané ‘s stationery was complemented by floral elements and carefully selected accessories.

A fairytale editorial for couples who love a fresh, pastel color palette and don’t want to miss out on the magic of historical elements.
