Intimate Elopement At The Beach of Portugal

We think it’s time for a real love story, and that’s what this intimate elopement at the beach of Portugal is all about. We accompany a young bride and groom on this special day of togetherness and are allowed to see what was otherwise reserved for only a few selected eyes…

„We wanted to show an airy, minimalist, sophisticated concept with a vintage touch.“ wedding planner Ivnna of The Wedding Wonderland explains and adds: „Our color palette was a mix of pastel tones, dusty blues and dashes of gold with pops of greenery throughout the shoot.“

Even if this wasn’t this couple´s real wedding, their deep affection for one another could not be overlooked, as this day began like many other wedding days do too…

„The day started with a really romantic and feminine atmosphere for the bridal boudoir shoot. Instead of emphasizing the bride’s sexiness we focused on a delicate and romantic result.“

As is so often the case, the getting ready followed, both got prepared for their big joint appearance. Of course, the respective outfits were handpicked and were important components of the concept.

The groom’s black suit tailored by Mister Man was a perfect complement to the understated elegance of our venue, the Cascais Mirage Hotel in Portugal, while the bride looked relaxed and beautiful in a romantic ivory Pronovias gown that was highlighted by a gorgeous, flowing lace veil.“ Ivnna raves about their perfect choice of bridal couple.

The location was also perfect for the intimate ceremony and the subsequent dinner for two, both with a view of the roaring and foaming sea in the distance.

„The ceremony took place at a 1902’s charming museum set on the absolute waterfront of Cascais’s dramatic Atlantic coastline which was the ideal scenery for our work. For our sweetheart table we used candles, linens and a simple, gorgeous centerpiece created by Flor de Laranjeira. The stationary created by In Love Weddings was beautifully elevated with handwritten calligraphy played a major role embellishing our table.“ event stylist Ivnna says.

In the end, it was photographer Stepan Vrzala who captured all of these and many other details in his unmistakably artistic way and eternalized them on incredible pictures. Ivnna also appreciates his art and is more than happy with the result: „The film photography of Stepan Vrzala played a major role, his luminous and natural way of shooting was perfect for us. Even though the weather was dark and rainy he somehow managed to capture the sun light excellently.“

How exactly he did that remains his secret. But what he shows us are his unique pictures, of an equally unique shoot.
