Lightness and elegance in Corfu

Kalliopi and Jake traveled from America to the cosmopolitan island of Corfu in Greece to exchange vows of eternal love.

Their church wedding ceremony in the unique Byzantine church of Jason and Sosipatros, built in 1000 AD, was followed by a cocktail dinner and party for all the guests, who traveled from all over the world, at the unique private luxury Villa Sylva on the beach in the Kanoni area of Corfu.

The original house was the setting for two Hollywood productions: “The Executioner” with George Pepperd and Joan Collins in 1970 and “James Bond: For Your Eyes Only” with Roger Moore and Carole Bouquet in 1981.

The beautiful, romantic decor in shades of white and pastel light blue perfectly matched the summer island atmosphere. The floral decor by Rammos-Floral Structures was stunning, with a lush arch of flowers starting the walk to the church, followed by a sea of flowers along the floor all the way to the church entrance.

For the drive to the location, the couple had rented a white Mercedes vintage car, which was also used for the photo shoot with talented photographer Lefteris Kalampokas.

No less lavish and beautiful was the setting and decor concept by Victoria Martini for the poolside dinner at Villa Sylva: long tables and round tables mixed, with stylish glass chandeliers hanging among drooping flowers and Mediterranean greenery, white stick candles and floral bouquets throughout in the wedding colors of white and pastel blue. The tableware in white with delicate gold rim and the gold flatware perfectly matched the lovingly designed combination of lightness, romance and elegance.

With this magical background, the wedding cake from the Cake Boutique also made a grand entrance in the evening. And the final highlight of the evening was the opening dance of the enamored and happy couple in the midst of the guests and the now fantastically illuminated garden of the villa. The mixture of chandeliers, fairy lights and indirect lighting gave the night a magic that everyone will remember for a long time.
