Moderne Loft Elopement

Following her very special vision, photographer Lisa Catherine takes us into a house that was believed to be abandoned, to which she and her modern elopement inspirations brought love and life.

Plaster crumbles from the walls, the wooden floor shows clear signs of wear. The light-flooded room is almost empty, only a lavishly laid table for four spreads out in its center.

We discover the bride and groom, and we come to a thought. Maybe this place is not gone to rack and abandoned, it is more like signs of love and affection that we recognize on walls and floors.

„I wanted the space to feel lived in, used, and loved.“ creative director and photographer Lisa Catherine explained. „So chose a setting with brittle plaster walls and worn wooden floors. “

It´s been her desire to wholeheartedly enjoy a special shoot for a very long time. Now she fulfilled herself this wish and crowned it with a stunning result.

„As a photographer, I had been longing to submerge myself in a shoot that felt whole-heartedly like me. Therefore, I hand selected an incredible team who I felt could realize this vision and trusted to bring it to fruition.“

One of them was florist Elaine of Fairmaven Floral who designed the perfect flower arrangements made of fresh white and graceful dusky pink.

Tailored to these delicate floral arrangements, Lisa Catherine opted for a gorgeous bridal gown by designer Alexandra Grecco, which nestled like a second skin to the bride´s silhouette.

And with the stationery from PaperOcelot Studios, she once again struck an arc from the exciting modernity to the graceful antiquity.

All in all, a more than successful staging of love that shows impressively that life sometimes leaves its footprints behind…
