Refined wedding world in the Villa Baulieu

What would the Provence of southern France be without its stately chateaux and villas. Endless, beautifully designed gardens, ancient rooms with historic artwork, imposing stone staircases and terraces offer themselves as tailor-made settings for unforgettable weddings.

The ambience of the Villa Baulieu was now the picturesque backdrop for this editorial, which was staged by a passionate team with creative and elaborate details.

Designer Marie Chicchirichi told: “Refinement, elegance and modernity were our guidelines for this shooting organized in the Luberon in Provence, at the amazing Villa Baulieu. The architecture of this exceptional family home partly guided our aesthetic choices. The design was thought out with the talented Lettre à Élise Events.

The idea was to imagine an intimate wedding by reinterpreting the codes of Provencal wedding. The Villa Baulieu is perfect for this. This family home, where one feels at home, is known for its outstanding hospitality and beautiful setting… time seems suspended and serenity overwhelms us. A beautiful experience for couples who want a bespoke wedding with a touch of elegance and modernity!

Our bride and groom of the day, Mathilde and Theo, are a real couple in life. This can be seen in their looks and their tender gestures, a beautiful complicity revealed by the images of Alain M for our greatest pleasure. Mathilde wears a vaporous tulle dress made of Alexandra Grecco and Théo a linen suit signed by L’Apiéceur. They have been entrusted to the expert hands of Ylva Langenskiold for natural beauty and lightness.

The ceremony takes place in the gardens, around a fountain which served as a backdrop. We have enhanced it with generous floral arrangements that sublimate this element.

For the table design, in terms of materials, we played with the elegance of tulle and linen, mixed with a touch of terracotta, a nod to the warm colours of the facades of houses in the south of France and Tuscany in Italy. We have chosen a French tableware style, with silver cutlery and crystal glasses. The stationery was designed by Silent Word Studio, in harmony with the atmosphere of this project.

The delicate floral work highlights the English Garden Roses – ‘David Austin’, ‘Yves Piaget’, ‘English Miss’ – with their soft and deep tones. Anemones of Japan seem to dance above the compositions in the centerpiece, adding a poetic note to this atmosphere. The bride and groom’s table in front of the Villa’s facade was highlighted by two opulent floral creations placed in Medici vases and set in heights.”

Fine Art photographer Alain M. has captured this lovingly designed editorial with his sense for aesthetics and details in a unique world of images.
