Romantic wedding world in Cyprus
Why not dream of planning your wedding on an island where, according to legend, the goddess Aphrodite was born. Doesn’t that sound like a wild romantic adventure?
This dream could come true, because this elegant editorial, designed by Flambouayia Events at the exclusive Anassa Resort and captured on film by photographer Tomas Dolejsi, is a rare jewel full of amazing details.
Tomas Dolejsi told: „Our vision was sparked by the riches of the land that surrounds Anassa, copper veins and herbaceous native flora, but also from the Roman architecture and medieval baths, the lavish gardens and the sun-soaked patios. The marbled interiors, decked with fine works of art, natural light glass menageries and palatial staircases leading from one level to the next, could not be missed.
The Sunrise terrace was chosen for the couple’s reception dinner, where Flambouayia Events set the table with a soft, sensuous palette contrasted by tailor-made for the occasion copper oxide dinnerware. Opulent arrangements of foraged dry conium flowers, which are characteristically abundant in Paphos, delphinium, hydrangea, English roses, dried plane leaves, phytolacca Americana, and dry asparagus fern added volume to the alluring tablescape, with pièce de résistance darker blooms paired to peachy pastels.
Nadin Hernandez, our calligrapher, worked with Red Grass Invitations to render invitation suites and paper goods featuring romantic blooms, a nod to the plush fete’s hues and venue. As a gift to the couple’s guests, a stunning artwork suite was also included alluding to the Cypriot symbols and location beauty. As nobody gets to visit Cyprus and not delight in the culinary possibilities we made sure we incorporated several fine tastes one can easily come by with exclusive amuse-bouche prepared by the resort’s executive chef.
As Anassa Resort’s premises abound with charm, our wedding designer wished to stir clear of the casual church scene and instead set the wedding ceremony at the Roman gardens, before a sparkling mosaic decorated natural spring. A convex figured blooming arch was placed next to velvet chair and a Zeigler carpet for the bride and groom to exchange their vows.
If incorporating rich colors to a fresh summer palette is what you’ve been seeking then this is definitely the way to go. I for one could barely contain myself shooting the pretty around.“
You can now look forward to the variety of inspiration that you can discover in the remarkable pictures of fine Art photographer Tomas Dolejsi .
