Royal wedding feeling with a modern touch at Cairnwood Estate

A magnificent estate, surrounded by manicured gardens, nestled in a picturesque landscape opens its doors to elegant and regal wedding inspiration. Photographer Liz Andolina and a dedicated team created this enchanting wedding variety with great attention to detail and a sense of beauty and elegance.

From Liz Andolina: ” For this late summer editorial at Estate Cairnwood , I wanted to blend all the timeless details of a European royal wedding with the clean lines and styling of a modern bride. Wedding planner Taylor Larson from Hill Event Co. and florist Courtney Rees Di Trolio from Winsome Floral partnered with me to create this inspirational shoot that would transport our viewers to a European destination wedding right in the heart of Pennsylvania.

To compliment the stunning architecture and allow the unique orange stone of Cairnwood to shine, we choose to feature abundant white florals, a chic and stylish take on the princess wedding gown, and a modern tablescape. Our model bride wore a Mira Zwillinger gown from Elizabeth Johns Couture and a fine art veil from All About Romance.

In true royalty style, she and our model groom (her real life husband) arrived via a vintage white Bentley before celebrating their wedding ceremony outside under a dramatic organic floral arch designed by Winsome Floral. We placed the floral arch on a diagonal to frame the Bryn Athyn Cathedral in the background.

Stationer Isidore & Augustine created a brand new calligraphy script for our wedding invitation suite, menus, and place cards. In keeping with the recent trend of smaller, more intimate weddings, we styled our tablescape to reflect a smaller guest count. We chose vintage brass candlesticks, clear ghost chairs, and a beautiful mix of asymmetrical floral centerpieces and bud vases to create a lush feel. We loved that the ghost chairs put a modern spin on a classic table set up. Hill and Hyde Rentals provided a chic lounge space for our couple and their would-be guests to enjoy a negroni or a glass of champagne from the stylish white bar provided by Vision Furniture .

It was such a joy to be creative with such a talented group of wedding vendors (especially in 2020)! Since we couldn’t travel abroad this year, this was the perfect opportunity to bring a European royal wedding to us.”
