Summer garden wedding at Villa Rizzardi

The magnificent Villa Rizzardi is located in the heart of Valpolicella, a wine region near Verona. The showpiece of the property is the beautiful garden. The park extends over 54,000 square meters of rolling hills and plains, with an Italian-style garden, with romantic rows of boxwoods, cypresses and niches of hornbeams. It was in this beautiful setting that Vanessa and Tobias said their yes.

Marina Fuchs from OH YES CONCEPT WEDDINGS  created an impressive wedding concept with a great sense of aesthetics, stylish details and color harmony. The photographer couple Danilo & Sharon seduces us with their artful pictures into a fairytale wedding world.

From Marina Fuchs of OH YES CONCEPT WEDDINGS: “Vanessa and Tobias not only love Italy, they live it. The more pasta, vino and amore the better. With their strong connection to Italy, the two have mastered not only the language, but also the Italian way of life. Full of lightness and confidence in life, the wedding planning with Vanessa and Tobias was a real pleasure! There was a lot of laughing, a lot of eating and a lot of drinking! And there was driving south despite lockdown to plan the wedding of the two! After the marriage proposal on the sea in front of Sicily, it was quickly clear that the wedding should also take place in Italy – where else! In addition to a symbolic free wedding, which is possible all over the world, there is the possibility in Italy both in the registry office and in the church in the course of the concordat marriage to marry legally. For Vanessa and Tobias it was clear that they would save themselves the trip to the registry office in Germany and focus on a single wedding day with a Catholic wedding ceremony in Italy. A concordat marriage requires one or two formalities from the bride and groom, but these are easily doable. In addition, a *translator* is needed to witness the wedding ceremony – even if the bride and groom speak fluent Italian.

120 international guests from all over the world were invited to Verona and the Valpolicella wine region for a weekend completely dedicated to love. There they celebrated Vanessa and Tobias with lots of wine, pasta, risotto and other Italian specialties until the wee hours of the morning. There was only one thing that was important to the groom: there should be no closing time! Furthermore, it should be a location that reflects the Grande Eleganza of Italy through and through. With Villa Rizzardi in Negrar di Valpolicella north of Verona, we had found the perfect location for the couple’s wedding. With a spacious park and the simply kept villa, the location offers an incredible number of possibilities for the daily routine of different wedding concepts.

The church wedding took place with a view over Lake Garda in a small village not far from the location, where the bride and groom and the guests were shuttled from Verona. The wedding concept “UN’ESTATE ITALIANA” shows exactly that: an Italian summer! Stylish, traditional as well as summery light. Italian rustic meets festive elegance! Like so many couples, Vanessa and Tobias envisioned olives and Italian herbs as part of a white and green decor. At OH YES CONCEPT WEDDINGS, we always want to add a personal touch and create something unseen between classic and modern, so we complemented their ideas to create an extraordinary concept! The florals were classically arranged in greenery and white by Chaska Nawi Flower.

Broken up by eye-catching and modern details like the green fish carafes, patterned place settings and Sicilian Testa di Mora, alluding to the engagement on the Mediterranean island. All of this was combined with gold elements and wooden Thonet chairs with Viennese weave, which are so in demand right now. Made with Love stationery in white, olive green and sand combined both classic and modern styles: a transparent envelope with the illustration of Villa Rizzardi in white. A play of the embossed script in olive green and the printed script as blind embossing.

The wedding was photographed and videographed by Danilo & Sharon, who understood exactly the twist of modernity and classic elegance.”
