The Stolen Child – PART 1

This sheer and breakable world of fays from the recent Pearl and Godiva workshop in Ireland made our hearts skip a beat.

Together with a great team they created a breathtaking phantasy-world inspired by the poem „The Stolen Child” written by William Butler Yeats.

Pearl and Godiva told us: “Enchant and bewitching, this tale was our inspiration, of a woodland faery coaxing away her lover into her wild world, away from the everyday disillusioned human existence. We brought this story to life, our faery cloaked in russet leaves, delicately clinging to her body, with delicate and wispy sheer fabrics, born of her magical realm. There was a bitter sweetness to her expressions, of sadness, longing and anticipation. Our story culminated in joy as the lovers danced in the falling evening light.”

Now see for yourself how wonderful they put a whiff of nothing into focus and created a feathery world that fascinated us right away. The Fine Art Photographer Ashley Ludaescher caught it for us on camera and shows us now her unique pictures that makes us dream away the day…

Translation: Marina Jenewein

“Come away o human child!
To the waters and the wild
With a faery, hand in hand.
For the world more full of weeping than you can understand.”

–  W.B. Yeats, “The Stolen Child” –
