Royal White in Marseille
Elegance in white: a wedding shoot in Marseille
The InterContinental Marseille, Hôtel-Dieu provided the perfect backdrop for a stunning wedding shoot by wedding planner Manon from House of events planner and photographer Clara Hublet. The historic building, which towers majestically over the old port of Marseille, tells of the city’s rich past. Once designed as a hospital and converted into a luxurious 5-star hotel in 2013, it now embodies the combination of timeless elegance and modern sophistication. In front of the impressive silhouette of Notre-Dame de la Garde, the iconic church of Marseille, the shoot shone in immaculate white.
An ode to femininity: the wedding dresses by Maison Manon Gontero
The bride wore the breathtaking creation from the collection of French designer Manon Gontero. The long, strapless “Mona” dress captivated with its combination of simple elegance and sparkling sequins. The detachable sleeves and the refined train lent the look a special versatility. The name of the dress, a tribute to the Egyptian writer and feminist Mona Eltahawy, reflected the theme of the collection: a tribute to important women who have had a lasting impact on the world.
The magic in white: decoration and details
The concept of the shoot – “Royal White” – relied on a pure, clear color palette that nevertheless radiated warmth. With orchids, hydrangeas and white roses, the florists at 288 flower AV created a sophisticated ambience with their sublime beauty, while white candles added a soft coziness to the setting. The wedding table, minimalist yet luxurious, was topped off with an immaculate white wedding cake from Chocolaterie Bellaria.
The atmosphere was characterized by a subtle opulence – royal, but with a touch of modern playfulness. The symbiosis of classic architecture, contemporary bridal fashion and purist design made the shoot perfect.
Marseille – A city full of contrasts
The impressive backdrop of Provence, the warm Mediterranean light and the historical significance of the Hôtel-Dieu merged into a harmonious whole in this shoot. Marseille, a city known for its vibrant history and cultural diversity, provided the perfect stage for a celebration of love and beauty.
With its blend of tradition and modernity, this shoot was a reminder that true elegance often lies in simplicity – in this case, in the purity of white.
