GOLD PIECES BY Michaela Römer

The manor house of Port Elliot in Cornwall invites us to relive almost a thousand years of history of this estate. Its wonderfully maintained buildings and parks with blooming rhododendrons, camellias and azaleas remind us of the past and, with their vivacity, they connect the impressive history with the tangible present.

The scene seems to be from a thousand years ago, with its royal jewellery and glittering accessories by the goldsmith
Michaela Römer arranged on a sheet of paper adorned with elegantly curved calligraphy… as if waiting for the bride and groom, having looked forward to this moment for a long time.

These unique pieces, made by hand from the purest raw materials, are to serve as constant companions throughout their entire shared life and as reminders of this very special vow made by two lovers.

As a symbol of their unity, the bride wears a TrauMRing – half dream, half vow – which will reflect this joyous moment in her eyes forever. The simple, modest counterpart on the groom’s finger unassumingly reminds us of the wonderful union of two lovers… in a setting that stands for a thousand years of constancy.

The individualistic man adorns his very special shirt with one very unique detail… hand-forged cufflinks in special shapes and with engraved, very personal symbols… just like the small selection of earrings from Michaela’s goldsmith shop. Delicately and gently they enframe this unique smile… in just the way she always wanted her piece of jewellery to shine.

If we had to choose one piece from Michaela Römer’s fascinating collection, we would need a looot of time for consideration… How lovely that Michaela granted us a glimpse of her HAeNDeWERK handicraft with this shooting… a small treasure in the beautiful Port Elliot…

With the amazing pictures by Louise of Taylor & Porter we discover the glamorous world of jewelry of Michaela Römer.
